A look at what I am working on now.

Paperback coming in August of 2018!
I couldn't be happier with how Otherworld is turning out! Back in November, I began serializing it on the blog and sharing it with you guys has been SO MUCH FUN. XD Even though it is still being run on the blog, I am now in the process of prepping the manuscript for a paperback editon. This is THE BIGGEST THING in my life right now--for obvious reasons. ;)
Here's what's happening this month:
A very talented artist is painting an orginal artwork for the cover and I am so excited about it! When she's done with the painting, I'm going to be incorporating it into the cover design. Look for a reveal coming at the end of June. XD
As a self-publishing author, I have been looking into my options and have decided to start my own publishing company.
What this means:
*Otherworld will bear my publishing company's name rather than Createspace, etc
*Tax forms and dealing with the IRS will be streamlined (hopefully!), especially as I begin hiring freelancers for things like cover art and copy editing.
*I will be less dependant on Amazon. In the future, I'm planning on having a direct relationship with a printer, which means I'd have much more control over the physical aspects of my books.
I'm working on a new book, that I've nicknamed Operation October. At least, I'm supposed to be working on Operation October. I have another book that I'm also working on. Cause...creativity happens. ;)
Here's what I can tell you so far:
*It will be another children's fantasy
*I am still working on the rough draft
*It will (probably) be published in October of 2019
What I'm listening to while I write:
*Lots of piano jazz and bossa nova
*The Greatest Showman soundtack (on repeat. For life!)
*Waltzes by Strauss and Tchiakovsky
What I'm reading--breif highlights:
*Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin
*Winston and Clementine: The Personal Letters fo the Churchills edited by Mary Soames
*Catherine the Great by Virginia Rounding
General: I am obessed with a little water runoff preserve in a neighborhood a few blocks from mine. It's an oasis of water grasses and water fowl, where cranes and ibis walk beside you along the path. It's definitely my muse right now!
