What's happening now
Updated on: April 12, 2020
I'm currently working on FOUR distinct projects so stay tuned--a LOT is in the works!
#Operationpinkerton has been DRAFTED and is now undergoing a waiting period before edits. This project is going to be published on the blog--with some parts exclusive to newsletter subscribers!
#projectwayfinder is on the back burner, pending some drastic story revision.
And there is a NEW and very special project that is going really really well! I can't wait for you to read this one--err, well any of them.
In the meantime, enjoy some short stories! :)
Brent Meets the Whumtroll: Part One
The top 5 things I've read:
1. All the Money in the World, by Laura Vanderkam. I like reading financial lit even at normal times, but the middle of a giant downturn seemed like a logical time to give this a reread.
2. The Secret of the Old Clock, by Caroline Keene. Ahh, Nancy Drew, I missed you! I was pleasantly surprised at how good this classic really was.
3. Mary, Queen of Scots and the Murder of Lord Darnley, by Alison Weir. Yep, the Weir fascination continues. Her take on history is just so well researched, thought out, and written.
4. Dressing Diana, by .
5. The Egyptian Heaven and Hell: The contents of the books of the Other World described and compared by E. A. Wallis Budge, Keeper of the Assyrian and Egyptian Antiquities in the British Museum. Two things: yes, this book is 100% real. And yes it was absolutely as amazing as it sounds!
